Objectives
Upon completion of this module, participant will be able to
- Review MRI characteristics of several common disease processes encountered in oncologic patients; this knowledge can be applied to the correlation of MRI with PET/CT and ultimately to the interpretation of hybrid PET/MRI;
- Emphasize the complementary value of MR and PET;
- Highlight clinical scenarios where MRI may serve as a problem-solving tool for indeterminate PET results; this knowledge can be used to make appropriate recommendations for follow-up imaging when applicable.
The LLSAP is designed for all nuclear medicine specialists and other physicians, pharmacists and technologists who practice diagnostic and/or therapeutic nuclear medicine.
