Objectives
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

1. Describe the biologic basis of measuring cellular proliferation using thymidine and analogs.
2. Discuss the kinetics of labeled thymidine and thymidine analogs in vivo.
3. Describe pre-clinical and clinical studies undertaken in the validation of proliferation imaging methods.
4. List current and future application of proliferation imaging to cancer research and possible uses in clinical cancer care.
